Honoring Our Harvest: A Circle for Women Elders
“One of the joys of aging is you will have more time to be still. Aging can be a lovely time of ripening when you actually meet yourself, maybe for the first time.” John O’Donahue from Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom
I invite you to join me in an intimate gathering of elders, (women over 60) to explore our rich and varied experience of growing older in our culture. What surprises are we discovering about ourselves and our life now? What questions are arising? Through listening to and sharing our experience, we’ll have the opportunity to delve into the following themes:

Women’s Circle of Elders: Honoring Our Harvest, Fall 2015 to present
“I have not participated in an Elder Circle before, but the description of Judith's Elder Circle resonated within me. It has turned out to be a wonderful mix of meditation, writing, poetry, and deep sharing. We deal with more than issues related to aging. Whatever comes up in the present in our lives can be brought to the circle. I have been able to be curious, vulnerable, and question deeply inside myself, supported by the group and by Judith. Judith is an open, wise, and kind leader who allows soul growth through her presence.” Karen – retired nurse.
“I have been part of Judith' s groups for many years. When she offered a new group on exploring aging I knew I wanted to be part of this exploration. I have found any group situation with Judith to be a rich ground for going deep into each person’s life situation as well as inspiration though writing, meditation and poetry. Judith has a unique gift for creating a space of unconditional acceptance with love, humor and wisdom. It has been a joy and food for my soul to be part of this ongoing group at this time in my life.” Marian-- 72, newly retired RN and healer.
“Judith Shiner, using her many skills, creates a circle of safety, kindness, caring and love. Her open heart and presence permeates our circle and supports our own dropping down into our truths. Her use of poetry as a vehicle for opening, supports our access to the messages of our hearts. The guided writing process brings surprising clarity to our discoveries! The Elder Circle is now an important part of my support system. When I think of the circle, I notice my whole being smiles and relaxes!” T. L., Retired teacher, designer, age 74
“Judith is a gifted healer, encouraging us to act from a place of deep listening. I have done lots of consciousness work….and the Circle of Elders is powerful like no other. I have never been in a group before and appreciate how Judith knows what to bring up and when to guide us to our deepest places. There’s a synergy in our energy which allows us to go deeper together. I am grateful to be part of this community of awakening women. The poems selected have opened me to the beauty and healing power of poetry which I previously had not enjoyed. Love seeing women blossoming to their full potential.” Joanna P. 70 – grandmother.
